I recently finished a Cat In The Hat mural for a nursery. This was the first time I have painted a Dr. Seuss mural and I loved it. Dr. Seuss did most of his book’s illustrations himself and had a very unique sketchy style. It was very freeing to paint this way and I think it turned out great! Next on my bucket list is a Lorax mural… any takers?
Batman, my client’s cat kept a close eye on me while I was painting and kept reaching his cute little paws under the door.

I have found myself being drawn to very eclectic nurseries lately. When taking a closer look at these nurseries you can see that all of the rules have been thrown out the window and the more you mix it up… the better! From mixing prints and a variety of colours to mashing together vintage picture frames and layering cushions and crib skirts. These eclectic nurseries have created truly cozy and unique little spaces chalk full of sentimental touches!

When checking in to see what was new at Babies R Us I was very excited to come across a modern craftsman style dresser in a warm walnut finish. This Park West Dresser features pull out drawers on the bottom and swing open drawers on the top so you can stay close to baby while changing. I would love to see this piece paired with some rustic industrial lighting and a faux sheepskin rug.
I am absolutely in love with this baby girl’s nursery found on Project Nursery. It has a wonderful eclectic mix of post modern pieces mixed with vintage finds. The grey backdrop creates a clean slate behind the pops of yellow and inventive gallery walls. I will definitely be drawing inspiration from these unique wall collages and displays in the future!
