Luxury Meets Practicality at Snuggle Bugz, Furniture and Bedding for Babies

This summer has been wonderful but very busy! We have been enjoying more activities with the kids who’s ages 2 and 4 make it a lot easier to venture out and we have been relaxing with friends and neighbours in our new backyard. Part of me doesn’t want summer to end and part of me is counting down the days for school to start and to establish a structured routine.

I haven’t had much time to search the local shops for great finds and new items but I had a few minutes to take a quick peek in Snuggle Bugz last week and here is what caught my eye:

I must have been feeling very patriotic that day because both companies are Canadian, each from Quebec!

Fergie and Josh Duhamel’s Baby Boy Nursery Design Concept

Congratulations to Fergie and Josh Duhamel who are expecting their first child… a baby boy who is due any day now! I have always admired Fergie’s style and thought it would be fun to create a nursery design concept that reflects both parent’s personalities and taste. Fergie’s talent has always extended beyond her powerful singing voice into the fashion world as a trendsetter and style icon. Fergie has an incredible way of putting together an outfit full of colour and pattern while adding her own glamorous and edgy flair. Her love for 1920’s Art Deco fashion and design is apparent in this nursery from the patterns on the crib bedding and window treatments to the art prints and frames chosen. Pieces from shops Fergie and Josh have been spotted in shopping for baby have been included such as Cisco Home. Pops of colour charge the room and whimsical accessories such as the dachshund bookends (Fergie and Josh’s first little one is their dachshund) add a little humour. This nursery is vibrant, edgy and fun… enjoy!

Modern Craftsman Style Walnut Dresser New from Babies R Us!

When checking in to see what was new at Babies R Us I was very excited to come across a modern craftsman style dresser in a warm walnut finish. This Park West Dresser features pull out drawers on the bottom and swing open drawers on the top so you can stay close to baby while changing. I would love to see this piece paired with some rustic industrial lighting and a faux sheepskin rug.
