It feels surreal, and honestly, really special to be sitting down and writing a blog post again. If you’ve been here for a while, you know that Nesting Story has been many things over the years: a parenting blog, a space to share my journey through motherhood, a personal outlet, a creative business. And through all of it, it’s always come back to storytelling.
So, let’s catch up.
The last few years have been full… in every sense of the word. I moved, I co-founded and grew a company (The Water Cooler), I fell in love and got married (we had a beautiful, intimate wedding at home last year), and I poured myself into my work as Head of Talent at Shine Talent Group. I’ve been raising four kids… one of whom drives now, which I still can’t quite wrap my head around, and building a life that finally feels steady again.
In that time, Nesting Story took a bit of a backseat. And that was intentional. I needed time to be more private, to focus on family, to build things quietly, to heal and grow behind the scenes.
But over the past few months, something started tugging at me again, the urge to create, to write, to connect with this community in a more personal way. To come back to what started all of this in the first place.
So here I am. And Nesting Story is back, in a way that reflects who I am today.
These days, I’m in my forties. I’m parenting teenagers and rediscovering what I love outside of motherhood. I’m finding peace in a slower pace of life.
Which brings me to this next chapter: I’m now offering 1:1 consulting services through Nesting Story.
After more than a decade in the digital space… building my own brand, working behind the scenes with creators and businesses, co-founding an agency, and leading talent strategy at one of Canada’s top influencer firms, I’m leaning fully into what I do best: helping others grow their brands with confidence and clarity.
